Is dit geen schatje?

Toen Sinterklaas mij vroeg om deze pop aan te kleden voor een lief kind, was ik direct verliefd op dit schatje. Ik heb een leuk tuniekje gehaakt en van een stel roze sokken een maillotje genaaid.
Hij kreeg ook nog een leuk wit gebreid zomersetje, maar die heb ik niet op de foto gezet...
Ik hoop dat het meisje die deze pop krijgt, heel veel van haar gaat houden.

When Sinterklaas* asked me to get this doll dressed I immediately fell in love with this sweet doll. I have crocheted a nice short gown with a pair of tights made out of a pair of pink socks. I have knit another nice white summerset, but I didn't take a picture...
I hope the child who gets this doll will love her!

* (Sinterklaas: Dutch for Saint Nicholas. In Holland the celebration of Saint Nicholas is a big children feast, comparitive with Santa)

Uilentak / Owl twig

Mijn zoon vroeg of ik ook even iets voor de baby van zijn baas wilde maken…

Maar aangezien ik wel een beetje selectief ben geworden voor wie ik iets maak, was ik niet direct enthousiast. Totdat hij een geboortekaartje kreeg. Met uiltjes…

Direct het patroontje van DROPS opgezocht en in mijn mand met katoen gedoken op zoek naar de kleurtjes van het kaartje.

 
My son asked me to make something for his boss’s new baby...

But since I don’t make anything for anybody anymore, I wasn’t that thrilled by the idea (although I felt it as my sons compliment for me). Until he had got a birth card. One with an owl…

I immediately downloaded the pattern from DROPS and looked for yarn in my cotton yarn basket. I picked out the colors of the card and took up my crochet hook.
